Horror Film Recommendations 2018
I have a soft spot in my heart for the horror genre. Its misunderstood reflections on humanity, trauma, and tropes is something that's fascinated me from a young age. A few years ago, around the time I started my first collection for Sofia Zakia, I launched headfirst back into my love of horror cinema, and came to realize that it was something that had been a constant in my life since I was a young girl. These days I moderate Dreadit and watch new flicks on the daily. Here are some of my favourite horror films that I've collected over the years. I'm a strong believer in horror beyond the classics, and this list reflects in that my intense admiration for modern horror cinema. Ranked on a scale of my personal admiration and somewhat objective "spookiness", I hope you can find something here to watch with friends, or alone in the dark, sometime this month!
