With a focus on antique renewal and my Medusa head logo, I'm taking chances this season working with new materials and larger scale to create new pieces with an old world aesthetic. Peek at the process behind making the broken Meudsa head ring below.
From my original Medusa pendant, I made a mold and injected wax into it for the opportunity to play with the design. Injection wax is soft, so it's malleable in low-heat temperatures. I carved away excess and molded her into a ring before casting her immortal in gold and adding an antique patina.
Medusa and the complete A/W collection will be available September 2018.
