Pearl Woodland Ring
Inspired by the soft kitten-like buds and branches of the pussy willow tree, this dainty woodland crown features a tiny pearl suspended from a golden cup.
According to an old Polish legend, many moons ago, a mother cat was crying at the bank of a river where her kittens were swept in. The willow at the river's edge longed to help her, so she swept her long graceful branches into the waters to rescue the tiny kittens who had fallen into the river while chasing butterflies. The kittens held on tightly to the branches until they were safely brought ashore. Legend has it that each springtime thereafter, the willow branches sprouted tiny velvet buds at their tips where the tiny kittens once held on.
