Flagship Assistant Manager / Keyholder:

LOCATION: Greene Ave Flagship, Montreal (Atwater Metro)

Full time (40 hrs)

A background in CS/retail sales of jewelry /gemstones is strongly preferred. Luxury sales background is a plus if jewelry CS/sales are not on your resume.

We're seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven, and very detail-oriented retail manager to help grow our retail team and manage our flagship on Greene Avenue in Montreal. We are seeking someone who enjoys creative thinking and problem-solving, who’s collaborative, thoughtful, and has strong communication skills (written and verbal). Our studio and web CS operates Monday to Friday, and our Flagship operates Tues-Sat/Sun.

Position Summary: Customer service and experience crafting for our retail shop. You will be working closely with us to craft events, manage inventory, market, merchandise, train and hire staff, as well as serve customers directly. You will brainstorm ways to engage and delight customers within our local community at our flagship location. 

The position will require you to:

  • Comfortably speak with customers, answering all of their questions and presenting them with stone/jewelry options (and a plethora of jewelry/gemstone and product knowledge);
  • Help securely opening/closing the store and maintain a safe protocol for showing jewelry;
  • Manage store inventory and assist Sofia directly in buying merchandise (stationery, skincare, books, and small ornaments) to enhance store experience;
  • Independently budget, plan, and execute in-store events (laser-welding event, piercing event, workshops, tarot reading events, book swap, author meet-and-greet, etc.);
  • Execute flagship marketing;
  • Be able to interpret what our customers are asking and present them with solutions/options in a helpful manner;
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Communicate clearly with our production team on customer orders and deadlines;
  • Be thoughtful, empathetic, and welcoming to our customers;
  • Be punctual, responsible, detail-oriented and efficient;
  • Work well in a tight-knit team, be collaborative, have patience, have great communication skills and not be afraid to ask questions or for assistance.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience planning and event-running OR managing a store;
  • A passion for helping bring joy to people;
  • Availability to work 5 days a week, Tues-Sat or Wed-Sun, in person;
  • Proficient in English & French (written & verbal);
  • Has experience opening stores, pop-ups, or planning events end-to-end;
  • Experience hiring/firing people;
  • Knowledge and passion about jewelry fabrication is a plus;
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented;
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets is a plus;
  • Ability to prioritize work flow & have good time-management skills.

We're seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven, and very detail-oriented customer service team member who is interested in working at our small Greene Avenue studio in Montreal! We're a very small but quickly growing company and are looking for someone who would like to join the team long term! Our studio and web CS operates Tuesday-Saturday.

Position Summary: Email customer service, as well as executing online and flagship custom jewelry consultations. You will be working with us to creatively craft our customer experience details, as well as guide customers through the customization and stone-selection process from start to finish.

The position will require:

  • 1-2 years experience in luxury retail service or a certified background in gemology is a plus. Fine jewelry and gemstone knowledge is a huge plus that will be key;
  • Must be comfortable and thorough in speaking with/emailing customers, answering all of their questions and presenting them with stone/jewelry options (and a plethora of jewelry/gemstone and product knowledge);
  • Sourcing gemstones from our list of suppliers (diamonds and coloured gemstones);
  • Be able to interpret what our customers are asking for via email and present them with solutions/options in a helpful manner;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, English and French;
  • Communicating clearly with our production team on customer orders and deadlines;
  • High level of comfort in handling appointments with customers (for custom work, etc);
  • Be thoughtful, empathetic, and welcoming to our customers;
  • Punctual, responsible, detail-oriented and efficient;
  • Prompt turn-around time on customer service and gemstone quotes;
  • Works well in a tight-knit team, is collaborative, has patience, has great communication skills and isn’t afraid to ask questions or for assistance.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR:

LOCATION: Greene Ave Flagship, Montreal (Atwater Metro)

We're seeking a highly organized and whip smart Production Supervisor. They/he/she will directly support our Production Manager in overseeing all details that ensure our product is made in a timely, high quality manner. This position will include coordinating with our sales and production teams, and managing our in-house studio. We are looking for an individual who has strong foresight, critical thinking skills, and great communication skills!

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating and tracking the production of e-comm orders, acting as a liaison between sales, in-house production, and contracted vendors;
  • Manage gemstone and findings inventory (placing orders, maintaining a Notion inventory board, and re-ordering stones when we are low-stock);
  • Sending metal casting orders in via e-mail and troubleshooting with Casting House via text/email;
  • Maintaining a production schedule spreadsheet (Google Sheets);
  • Defining and delegating production deadlines (making sure jewelry production happens smoothly and that we are meeting need-by dates);
  • Overseeing the management of the in-house studio workflow, inventory needs, and maintenance, etc, to fulfill requirements for timely and high quality orders;
  • Assist in inventory management, including raw and finished inventory;
  • Picking up/dropping off order envelopes with freelance partners (casting house, gemstone setter, laser welder, etc. — you will be provided with transport);
  • Pay supplier invoices;
  • Maintaining QA;
  • Ensure the machinery is functional.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work 4-5 days a week, M-F, in person

Digital Designer / In-House Photographer:

LOCATION: Greene Ave Flagship, Montreal (Atwater Metro)

Flexible (20-40 hrs)

We're seeking a creative, independent graphic designer and photographer to join our Art team.

Our studio and web CS operates Monday to Friday.

Position Summary: You will be responsible for photographing jewelry and soft campaigns, as well as designing social media assets and our newsletter. You will brainstorm and execute design templates for newsletters, events, and new jewelry launches.

The position will require you to:

  • Interpret Sofia Zakia’s branding through design;
  • Work with flagship team and Sofia on special projects, campaign shoots and lookbooks;
  • Conduct basic photography and retouching of macro-shots of jewelry (a background in retouching metals and stones is a plus!);
  • Review and retouch digital photography products;
  • Maintain and organize our extensive photo library;
  • Work collaboratively to conceptualize and execute compelling marketing campaigns and content across platforms;

Qualifications

  • Graphic design portfolio;
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) with a strong understanding of typography and layout;
  • Basic photography and retouching skills;
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented;
  • Solid understanding of current social and design trends.

Previous high-end sales experience OR gemmology experience, 2 years preferred;
